Yippee! It’s finally Friday and time to enjoy time with family and friends. Last week took a little maneuvering because of the Richmond Marathon but that didn’t stop the customers and vendors. The hot spot on Saturday from 9 – Noon is GrowRVA South of the James Farmers Market. It’s always great to see it become a family affair and the one day of the week where friends can catch up and enjoy great produce, food and of course doughnuts.
Thanksgiving is next week and we will have a holiday market for you next Wednesday, 2 pm – 5 pm in Forest Hill Park to provide you with the best local around. More details to come.
A few highlights:
Cheese in jars of olive oil & beeswaxed chevres… both ‘long keepers’ and perfect for gift giving. Sullivan’s Pond Farm also makes ‘green grown’ and organic blended loose leaf teas with stainless strainer straws, handmade candles, (soy or candle wax), and ‘art cards’… all from the artists on the farm!
TURMERIC/GINGER LOVERS! Casselmonte will be at there tomorrow morning with turmeric and ginger harvested today. Will not be in usual location. Look for India near the top of the market! Tickled!
Come out tomorrow, 9 – Noon. As always, pick a new vendor support.
