Short Pump Town Center is hosting a weekly GrowRVA farmers market on Thursdays from 4 to 8 pm, beginning May 8 thru October 30, on Restaurant Row near Dick’s Sporting Goods. The Short Pump Town Center Farmers Market will offer more than just locally grown, farm fresh produce. The weekly event will feature farmers and artisans selling vegetables, fruits, plants, fresh cut flowers, baked goods, dairy products, fresh eggs, hand-made crafts and more.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to provide quality locally raised products to this area of the county. Because we visit every farm and our markets are producer only, customers will have the unique experience of meeting farmers, bakers, and artists directly. What a great way to support local business and have access to food that was just picked that morning,” said Karen Atkinson, Founder & Owner, GrowRVA.
Family and friends are invited to make a night of it by enjoying dinner on the patio of one of the Town Center’s restaurants like Baker’s Crust, Lehja, India Delicious, California Pizza Kitchen, Firebird’s Wood Fired Grill and opening in May – Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. Other delicious options include Texas de Brazil, Maggiano’s, Tara Thai, The Cheesecake Factory and the Food Court eateries.
After dinner, enjoy the sights and sounds of the market as you savor locally grown produce at the peak of freshness, meet the people who grow your food, enjoy entertainment such as
musical performers, children’s activities, Farm to Chef demonstrations and at the end of the of the night take home fresh, local market finds for the week.
